The Environmental Impact Lens:
In 2019 we converted all of our lighting in our Pizzeria and Ice Cream Parlour in Beddgelert to LED’s (it helps having an Uncle who’s an electrician!) We also converted to a renewable energy supplier in the same year.
We were the first ice cream parlour in the UK to install a gelato pozzetti display freezer that’s air-cooled rather than water-cooled, while still allowing for the customer to view the product.
We are planning to invest in solar panels in the next 12 month, so that we can generate our own electricity.
We hold a Level 5 Food Safety Certificate for both our Pizzeria and Ice Cream Parlour. This demonstrates that we take environmental health seriously. We are also working towards becoming SALSA accredited which is a higher level of Food Safety.
